RENO NEWS - May 2010

Come See Us at EPIC

EPIC

Homeworks will have a booth at EPIC Sustainable Living Expo from May 28th-30th at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It is Western Canada's largest sustainable consumer tradeshow and eco-marketplace. If you are interested in learning more about greener living this is a great opportunity to surround yourself with inspiring ideas. We encourage everyone to come by our Homeworks booth and ask us any questions you may have about energy efficient upgrades and how you can maximize your savings in the process.

LiveSmart BC is Back!

The Provincial Government has brought back its popular LiveSmart BC program that allows owners to receive grants for energy-efficient upgrades done to their home. This offer is available for those of you who have had your (pre-retrofit) energy assessment performed on or after April 1, 2010 and complete a follow-up (post retrofit) energy assessment by March 31, 2011. Find out how much you can save on each upgrade by viewing the Provincial grants table:

New Product Offers

» Thermal Imaging Technology

Thermal imaging technology can visually identify areas of heat loss/gain by providing images detailing a home's thermal performance. It is a non-intrusive way to affordably assess the energy efficiency of a home by identifying inefficient windows and doors, identify drafty areas, performance of your weather stripping and inadequate or missing insulation. Thermal imaging provides a green guide to prioritizing renovations.

» Solar Hot Water

We now offer solar domestic hot water systems that are installed as retrofits on existing homes or in new builds. Solace Homeworks is a registered contractor of SolarBC, who is currently offering a $2000 grant for new and existing homes in BC and a $3,500 grant in Vancouver. Come visit our showroom in Burnaby to see our working display.
